Paint Me Crimsons Debut release Ghost over my shoulder presents the world with their take on blending metal-core riffs and melody with punchy EDM synths.
The lyrics in my interpretation deal with the concept of battling with one's own insecurities and how our mind deals with the back and forth of within itself. A great take on the concept and something everyone can relate to on a day to day basis.
For a debut single the band have came out the gate swinging and i can see they have a hunger to take this as far as they can, the instrumentals are mixed really well and each section of the band comes through clear, my only gripe with the track is the effects on the vocals make it a struggle to hear the lyrics being sung. If that's a stylistic choice or just something with the mix I’m unsure but overall the track is a strong contender for a first release and i'd like to see Paint Me Crimson release more in the near future.
