Ohhhh yeah! Get ready to feel the ground shake and your heart race because Swarms UK have dropped their debut EP "Coaldust", and it's like a freight train barreling through the living room while you're trying to sip your morning coffee, brother! Released on August 9, this Newcastle-based Hardcore/Deathcore juggernaut has let loose a sonical attack as heavy as a sumo wrestler doing a belly flop into a paddling pool!
From the opening track "Cream of the Crop," you knew you were in for a wild ride, and lemme tell ya, this track is as fresh as a protein shake after leg day! Hooks and grooves are so tight, they'd give a bodybuilder a run for his money. Like they took every heavyweight riff they could find, tossed them in a blender, and hit the 'bulldozer' button!
Then we dive into 'Akin to a Hammer,' which hammers down harder than your gym buddy’s relentless pep talks. If you're not headbanging, you might just need to check your pulse! The tasty surprise of 'Breakfast at Riffany’s' is a glorious mix that makes you want to turn the speakers up and grill some pancakes!
Finally, we land at 'Philth Collins'—a wild ride where wicked riffs meet groovy breakdowns. It’s like the roided love child of a Genesis classic and a death metal concert!
Overall, Coaldust is a bloody brilliant EP that may well give you a punch with enough force to knock your socks off! The grooves are heavy, the hooks wicked, and when it all comes together, it's almost like you've just kissed a freight train, brother! Swarms UK have carved out their place, being the tower of power, too sweet to be sour, and this EP is only the beginning. If you want to go raw, unyielding, that's a sonically explosive route, then take your headphones and dive on in with Coaldust. Oooooooh yeah!
